Dems say government shutdown throws women and children under the bus

Harry Reid is claiming that the Republicans are taking away women's cholesterol screenings and other necessary services. Planned Parenthood provides cholesterol screenings now? They don't even provide the mammograms everyone claims they provide! Hat tip to Jill Stanek.

Who is really making this an issue? Reid was trying to increase Title X funding which is specifically for family planning services, and now he's falsely claiming that he will not abandon women and children because of the stubbornness of the Republicans. The democrats are fighting for Planned Parenthood because they are in Obama's back pocket- remember FOCA?
