Bishops nationwide are urging their parishioners and concerned citizens to write before midnight tonight to prevent the Department of Health and Human Services from providing 100% coverage for contraception and sterilization services as part of Obamacare. Contraception would include the emergency contraception, such as Ella, pictured left. Emergency contraception can act as an abortifacient, should the woman be fertile, prohibiting implantation of a fertilized egg, thus aborting the embryo.
Objections of conscience are being accepted until 11:59 p.m. Friday. There are several methods to communicate to HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, by form letter or email, or contacting you congresspeople.
